Overall results of the 2018 144MHz FM Activity Contest (FMAC)

The second year of the 144MHz FMAC has seen 72 entries for the 50R section and 61 entries for the 10V section. The number of entrants per contest has varied over the year from a maximum of 48 in April to a minimum of 25 in July and November with an overall average of 35. The number of stations active in this contest varied from 83 (January) to 168 (February) with an average of just over 122.

The first 2019 144MHz FMAC session starts at 1900 local time (1900 UTC) on Tuesday January 1st. For 2019, the antenna restrictions in the 10W section have been removed to permit the use of any antenna and the duration has been reduced to 55 minutes to give a five minute break between the end of the FMAC and the start of the UKAC.
